A specific prayer come(s) true
All our years in Singles for Christ (SFC) taught us to be specific in our prayers. So, long before our February 2017 wedding, we prayed for a honeymoon baby. But there was no honeymoon right after the wedding. We had flown family into the UAE for our big day, and were bent on making the most of their short stay. No time nor budget for a honeymoon! So it was a month after the wedding when my heart sank at the sight of blood-soaked undies. No baby then. But God's providence never fails. A week later, a generous gift from one of our most admired and beloved couples sent us to Dibba, my hometown, for an overnight stay at Le Meridien Al Aqah Beach Resort & Spa. A honeymoon, finally! Fast forward to this day in April. I stared at two lines on two sticks and breathed thanks to our ever-listening, ever-gracious God. The first words my husband heard when he woke up that day: "Good morning, daddy!" A visit to the doctor later on confirmed the date of conception. ...
